Winter Catering Showcase Held Over Fall Break

ICYMI Catering Showcase 2019With the Holidays approaching, the Catering team at Creighton University showcased the Winter Limited Time Offers Menu to faculty and staff members to assist with planning for Holiday meetings, luncheons, or events. On Wednesday, Oct. 16, the first Catering showcase since 2009 was held in the Skutt Ballroom. Guests were greeted with a guide that listed the various stations and were automatically entered to win a lunch buffet for a group of 10. The ballroom was decorated with the Holidays in mind and featured menu items from the Winter Limited Time Offers Menu including the Build-Your-Own Bruschetta Bar, Hot Chocolatier Bar, and the Mindful Resolutions buffet. Chef Kevin Newlin and his team came together to make sure the menu had variety and appeased many dietary needs. Linens and dinnerware were displayed along with sustainable compostable dinnerware. Guests were encouraged to take photos and ask questions. Over 140 attended the event.

The next showcase will be in the spring semester.
