Julia Feder, PhD, assistant professor in the Department of Theology, has published an essay in the T&T Clark Handbook of Edward Schillebeeckx titled “Mary, Model of Eschatological Faith.” This essay tracks the development of Edward Schillebeeckx’s theology of Mary and suggests avenues for future development of contemporary Mariologies that use Schillebeeckx’s mystical-political approach to theology, especially in in light of contemporary concerns for sexual, racial, and environmental justice.
