Rick Witmer, PhD, professor of political science and who specializes in American Indian politics and policies, was recently quoted in a New York Times article about the Native American Presidential Forum held recently in Sioux City, Iowa. The forum made news and was trending as Presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren announced a comprehensive plan for Native Americans. The article was also picked up by Huffington Post and the Sioux City Journal.
