60 health professions and undergraduate students have been accepted for the ILAC Summer Program to work in five rural communities June 19 – July 22. The program gives students and professionals the opportunity to live with and become part of a family and community. It focuses on building relationships across cultural, linguistic and socio-economic barriers as well as on providing opportunity for Dominicans living in rural communities to access basic health care.
