The Christmas/New Year’s holiday break is approaching. Remember to turn off and unplug computers and monitors, surge protectors, printers and copiers, lamps and space heaters. Before you leave for the holiday break, look around. In the break room, make sure all electric appliances are unplugged and the lights are turned off. You can save your department and Creighton University lots of money and reduce waste. In the common areas: lower the thermostat to 55 degrees F. Turn off overhead lights and table lamps. Tightly close all windows and pull blinds down. Give plants a little water.
