As the days get colder, the all-University Crisis Committee wants to remind campus about communication procedures for inclement weather. The official means of notifying Creighton students, faculty and staff of a weather closing or delay are the weather hotline at 402.280.5800 and the CUAlert system. The weather hotline is updated by 5:30 a.m. on the business day in question. If the hotline is not updated with a message or you do not receive a CUAlert, the University is open. For closures or delays, these communication channels are augmented by a notice on the Creighton website and announcements in the media. Now is a good time to log into CUAlert and update your contact information to receive the earliest notifications possible.
In other developments, phones in Creighton classrooms have also been added to the CUAlert system. When an alert is issued, these phones will ring and recorded emergency notification information will be communicated.
