Creighton to Hold Free Dr. Zeph’s Haunted Physics Lab

Earthly ghosts and goblins of all ages will have the chance this weekend to learn about the science behind optical, electrical and mechanical phenomena and illusions during the Dr. Zeph’s Annual Haunted Physics Lab at Creighton University.

The free event, sponsored by Creighton’s Physics Club, provides hands-on activities in which participants will confront optical, electrical and mechanical phenomena and even have an opportunity to create laser light shows. The haunted laboratory includes 30 interactive exhibits, ranging from a vampire in “Dracula’s Tomb” to a chamber with a body-less “Physics Department Head.”

Hours are Friday, Oct. 28, 4:30-8 p.m., and Saturday-Sunday, Oct. 29-30, 2-8 p.m. Participants can access the haunted laboratory by entering the east doors of the Hixson-Lied Science Building. Free parking is available just north of Burt Street with entry on Cuming Street.
