Webinar: “iPad: Effective Use in the Classroom”

The webinar, “iPad: Effective Use in the Classroom,” will be presented Tuesday, Oct. 4, from noon to 1:30 p.m. in the Harper Center, room 3033. This National Webinar from Academic Impressions is hosted by Academic and eLearning & Learning Environments, Division of Information Technology.

OVERVIEW: The iPad offers endless possibilities for teaching and learning, but that doesn’t mean it is always an effective learning tool. A faculty member’s purpose for using the iPad is the most significant factor in determining successful use in the classroom. Join the online discussion that will provide a framework to help you think about the iPad’s potential in your classroom.

LEARNING OBJECTIVE: After participating in this webcast, you will be able to integrate some basic uses of the iPad into your teaching and learning.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND: Faculty, instructional designers and technologists, and academic computing service administrators will learn to use the iPad more effectively, including basic ways to use iPads in teaching and learning.
