Fire Drills Set for October

Creighton University must be prepared for a variety of emergency situations and exercising a test is essential to effective crisis planning and the safety of our students, faculty and staff. The University will be conducting fire drills throughout campus at various times and locations during the week of Oct. 3-7. The drills are scheduled during the last 10 minutes of class time to minimize class disruption. A complete schedule is available at www.creighton.edu/emergencypreparedness/.

A CUAlert will not be issued during this exercise. The drill is designed to assist occupants in understanding how to exit the building quickly and what to do in case such an emergency happens. Designated personnel will activate the pull alarm system at each location. The system will be silenced and an “all clear” given when the building is cleared. Residence halls will have drills during the evening hours.
