Kathryn Dey Huggett, Ph.D., assistant dean for medical education for Creighton University School of Medicine, has been elected president of the Society of Directors of Research in Medical Education Executive Committee.
Huggett, who also serves as Creighton’s director of medical education development and assessment and associate professor of medicine, is the co-author of 23 articles on medical and dental school curriculum, collaborative research in medical education and more. She is co-editor of a book, “An Introduction to Medical Education” (2010).
The Society of Directors of Research in Medical Education is a national organization that provides leadership in medical education. It is a member academic society of the Council of Academic Societies, one of three leadership councils of the Association of American Medical Colleges.
