The Department of Atmospheric Science will be hosting an Open House on Wednesday, Sept. 21, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The open house will begin with snacks and beverages in the Arthur Douglas Conference room, Hixson-Lied Science Building, room 503. A presentation showcasing the department’s new interactive weather data map wall, which is located in Hixson-Lied Science Building, room 513, will begin at noon and will continue as guests arrive. The weather data map wall consists of real time satellite, radar, weather station and forecast model output on 10 digital displays along with the a large screen for live television coverage of weather events displayed on computer monitors.
