Clarion Interprofessional Case Study Competition and Course

Creighton University School of Pharmacy and Health Professions is sponsoring one team of four students across the health disciplines (medicine, nursing, dentistry, pharmacy, occupational therapy and physical therapy) to compete in the National CLARION Case Competition. Students will be given a fictitious sentinel health care event and as a team will present a root cause analysis. Students will work collaboratively and interprofessionally to analyze the health care errors-based clinical case. This Creighton CLARION student team will give their presentation in April 2012 to a panel of senior-level health executives and practitioners at the CLARION National Case Competition competing against interprofessional student teams from Universities across the United States. Students on the Creighton CLARION team will receive 1 credit hour in an elective honors course. If you are interested in learning more about this opportunity, please contact Katie Packard, PharmD, at [email protected] or go to the Creighton Clarion website.
