Father Lannon’s Arrival to be Marked by Noon Mass and Campus Picnic

The University will celebrate the official arrival of its 24th president, Timothy R. Lannon, S.J., on Monday, Aug. 1, with a noon Mass for the campus community at St. John’s Church. The Mass will be followed by a campus wide picnic in the Jesuit Gardens. The rain location for the picnic is lower St. John’s Church.

Two shuttles will be available to take participants back and forth, stopping every 15 to 20 minutes between 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m., at the following locations:

East Route
Deglman Hall (east side of street)
To Burt Street – Human Resources, Public Safety, Russell Child Development Center (south side of street)
To 20th Street – Harper Center (west side of street)
To Cass Street
To 19th Street – Purchasing, Mail Center, Ryan Center (east side of street)
To Burt Street – Facilities and Grounds (south side of street)
To 16th Street
To Mike Fahey Street – Wareham Building (north side of street)
To 17th Street
To Cass Street – School of Law (north side of street)

West Route
Deglman Hall (west side of street)
To the periphery road south of KFC and Kiewit
To Burt Street – ROTC, CHPE (south side of street)
To road behind hospital – BioInformation Center, Boyne Building
To hospital main entrance
To Cardiac Center
To Burt Street
To 24th Street
