Greg Zacharias, Ph.D., director of the Center for Henry James Studies, presented “Don’t Throw Anything Out: Notes on the New Henry James Archive” at the Transforming Henry James conference in Rome on July 10. Zacharias was also co-program chair for the conference. In addition, Zacharias published “Style and Henry James’s Ghosts/‘The complexion of ever so long ago’” in Henry James and the Supernatural. (Ed. Kimberly Reed and Anna Despotopoulou. New York: Palgrave/Macmillan.) Zacharias announced as well that the Center for Henry James Studies received a $5,000 grant from the Gilbert C. Swanson Foundation to support the purchase of books and computer hardware and software. Last, Zacharias accepted an invitation to present the keynote address at “The Self Industry: Therapy and Fiction” conference, Sept. 22-24, in Ustron, Poland.
