Alpha Sigma Nu: Student and Honorary Member Nomination Deadline Extended to Nov. 5

The Creighton University student chapter of Alpha Sigma Nu, the national Jesuit honor society, is calling for nominations of students and honorary members for induction in February. Please review the list of scholastically eligible candidates. The deadline for nominations has been extended to Friday, Nov. 5. (Please note: The previous listing of eligible candidates was linked to  last year’s candidates. That information has now been corrected. Please review the current list of eligible students and nominate someone you feel deserving of the honor of inclusion in Alpha Sigma Nu.)

There are three criteria for invitation to membership: scholarship, loyalty and service.

  • Scholarship, besides grade-point average, includes having a passion for critical analysis, integrating the practical and theoretical, and having wisdom beyond the classroom.
  • Loyalty involves an intelligent appreciation of and commitment to the traditional ideals that characterize Jesuit higher education: intellectual, moral, social and religious.
  • Service involves a proven concern for others demonstrated by meaningful cocurricular or extracurricular activities in support of the College, the University or the community.

To nominate a student or honorary member for Alpha Sigma Nu, please complete the following forms by Friday, Nov. 5 — Alpha Sigma Nu Student Nomination Form and Alpha Sigma Nu Honorary Nomination Form.
