Division of IT: New Mandatory Cyber Security Training Opens Oct. 11

Corresponding with October as National Cyber Security Awareness Month, the Division of IT is releasing the fall 2021 cyber security training campaign for faculty and staff on Monday, Oct. 11. The fall mandatory training campaign will include four web-based modules delivered via KnowBe4, the company that currently provides simulated phishing for Creighton. The cyber security training includes topics such as: passphrases, FERPA, phishing, and working from home.

To ensure the security of our campus data, the Creighton Board of Trustees has stipulated that all faculty and staff must complete the new training modules. To allow for flexibility and time to complete this training, the campaign will run for six weeks, ending on Nov. 19.

An email invitation will be sent to all faculty and staff on Oct. 11 with a link to the KnowBe4 training. Be on the lookout for the invitation, and if you have questions, contact the myIT Service Desk at 402-280-1111 or 800-329-1011 or servicedesk@creighton.edu.
