The Ignatian Year: Celebrating the 500th Anniversary of St. Ignatius

The Society of Jesus invites all partners, including faculty, staff and students at Creighton University, to participate in the Ignatian Year, now through July 31, 2022.

Together, be part of the celebrating the 500th anniversary of Ignatian Spirituality, brought forth from a devastating injury St. Ignatius of Loyola suffered and the call he experienced from God during his recovery.

Division of Mission and Ministry will commemorate this special year in several ways as a campus, and all are invited to consider how God is calling us forth from our own “cannonball moments.”

Recently, Omaha Ignatian ministries gathered to reflect on this call from a collaborative approach and an anniversary video was made which discusses the importance of the Ignatian Year, Go Forth Omaha: A Conversation with the Rev. Arturo Sosa, SJ, and the Rev. Nicky Santos, SJ.
