New Leader in the Office of Student Retention

Mary Ann Tietjen has been selected as the new leader for the Office of Student Retention and steps into the associate director role as of Monday, Aug. 3. For the past 11 months, Tietjen has been wearing two hats, serving in an interim role working with student retention while also continuing her duties in student employment. Tietjen has worked the past four years in Enrollment Management and most recently served as the assistant director for student employment and coordinated the Federal Work Study program. Prior to working at Creighton, Tietjen worked for 20 years in K-12 education. Tietjen received her MEd from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and her BA in Spanish from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.

Sarah DePooter, who has been working as a financial aid coordinator, will be assuming the assistant director for student employment responsibilities in the Office of Financial Aid in Enrollment Management.
