Russell Child Development Center Set to Reopen Aug. 5
The Russell Child Development Center will be reopening for child care on Wednesday, Aug. 5. Staff will return on Monday, Aug. 3, for safety training and to prepare for the return of children. The safety of the children and our Creighton community are of utmost importance. Updated policies and procedures will include additional cleaning measures and stricter health and safety practices. Please contact Carol Houser (carolhouser@creighton.edu or 402-280-2460) with questions.

Face Coverings Required During Lectures
With recent warnings about airborne transmission, faculty are being required to wear face coverings while lecturing. This is a change to the question-and-answer response that was shared in the June 29 COVID-19 Update in Creighton Today. Students, faculty, staff and visitors are required to wear a face covering on campus, both inside buildings and outside, including in classrooms and laboratories.

Daily COVID-19 Screenings Continue
Reminder: All students, faculty and staff approved to be on campus must report to the COVID-19 Screening Station in the atrium of the Hixson-Lied Science Building between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., Monday through Friday, for each day they are on campus.

Those with a temperature of 99.9 degrees (F) or higher will not be allowed to remain on campus. Please note, 99.9. degrees (F) is considered a fever with the forehead thermometers used on campus, while it’s 100.4 degrees (F) when taken under the tongue with an oral thermometer.

If you are feeling ill, please do not report to campus or the screening station, and notify your supervisor. If you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms or have tested positive for COVID-19, please also notify Student Health Education and Compliance at CoronavirusResponse@creighton.edu.

#CampusClear App Nears Rollout
The #CampusClear self-screening app will soon be rolled out. Once the app is available for download, students, faculty, staff and visitors will be able to use it to record their COVID-19 screening. Those coming to campus would still need to complete a temperature check at a COVID-19 Screening Station. Those without a smartphone also will be able to complete the entire screening process at a COVID-19 Screening Station.
