Academic Service-Learning Training Series

Academic Service-Learning Online Seminar

The Office of Academic Service-Learning (OASL) has created a 12-module online seminar for the purpose helping faculty to create designated academic service-learning (AcSL) courses. Modules cover key aspects of AcSL pedagogy, including teaching in online settings. Interested faculty can complete all 12 modules to be eligible to receive a Certificate of Completion in Academic Service-Learning pedagogy from the OASL.

Online Seminar Outcomes

  • Participants demonstrate the ability to (re-)design course integrating AcSL pedagogy
  • Participants operationalize the concepts of mutuality and reciprocity in community partnerships
  • Participants understand how to utilize OASL to support their work with community partners

Log into the Academic Service-Learning BlueLine site to participate. An Online Academic Service-Learning module is also available as a stand-alone session here.
