Jan. 9: Journey to Omaha: Exploring the Refugee Experience

Register here

On Wednesday, Jan. 9 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. the SCSJ will be offering a Refugee Community Orientation, “Journey to Omaha: Exploring the Refugee Experience.” SCSJ Community Orientations are an on and off campus experience into Omaha where we take six hours to learn more about our local community, a social justice issue, Catholic Social Teaching and our Jesuit mission. These are considered a valuable opportunity for Faculty/ Staff Professional Development and growth of Creighton’s mission.

We would love if you could join us, it’s sure to be a day full of learning, good discussion, and a way to meet fellow faculty and staff across the University. Pre-registration is required. You can sign up here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/journey-to-omaha-exploring-the-refugee-experience-tickets-53065369950. If your department is interested in participating together as an office bonding activity, please email Beccahuju@creighton.edu,  we would love to talk to you further about that possibility.
