Siracuse Published in Journal of the American Pharmacist Association

Mark V. Siracuse, PharmD, PhD, professor in the School of Pharmacy and Health Professions and vice chair of the Department of Pharmacy Sciences, recently published “Independent Community Pharmacies’ Provision of Enhanced Services: A Mixed Methods Approach” in the Journal of the American Pharmacist Association

The pharmacy profession continues to broaden toward a patient-centered care practice. Pharmacy members of formal enhanced services networks are embracing this practice. However, descriptions of how pharmacies adopt a patient-centered care practice by providing enhanced services are not widely known. The objective of the research was to explore the pharmacy services of Nebraska independent community pharmacists and determine if pharmacy participation in a formal enhanced pharmacy services network is associated with the provision of enhanced services.
