There, he was part of the MAGIS Catholic educator program and taught middle school at Red Cloud Indian School in Pine Ridge, South Dakota.

Regency was split between teaching at Creighton Preparatory School in Omaha and working at the Jesuit Archives and Research Center in St. Louis. Jeff was a paralegal at Civil Legal Services firm with Jesuit Volunteers Corps in Milwaukee, taught at the Working Boys Center in Quito, Ecuador, and his time at the Red Cloud Indian School continued his education in Jesuit values. Since joining the Jesuits, he has been a youth minister at St. Procopius Parish in Chicago, a teacher and campus minister at Loyola Academy in Wilmette, Illinois, and a prison chaplain at the Women’s Federal Correctional Institute (FCI-Dublin) in California.

He received his master’s degree in philosophy from Loyola University Chicago and his master of divinity at Jesuit School of Theology of Santa Clara University.

Trevor Rainwater, SJ, BA’10, grew up in Bismarck, North Dakota. After graduating from a diocesan high school, he decided to attend Creighton University because of Creighton’s medical school following the steps of his parents in the medical field. At Creighton, Trevor studied health sciences and theology and joined a discernment group to decide which vocation to pursue and decided to join the Society of Jesus. Trevor was missioned to Saint Louis University, where he earned a master’s degree in philosophy in 2015. Conan Rainwater, Trevor’s brother and fellow Creighton alumnus, BA’15, entered the Society as well.

After finishing philosophy in Saint Louis, Trevor taught Scripture to freshmen at the University of Detroit Jesuit High School for three years, which he really enjoyed doing. He earned a Master of Divinity degree from Regis College at the University of Toronto.

Trevor will continue working on his Licentiate in Liturgical History at the Catholic University of America after ordination.

When asked to tell his vocation story in six words or less, he said, “Catholic. Creighton. Choice. Community.” Read more.
