  • New Monday Allergy Walk-in Clinic

    • Starting Monday, Oct. 4, the Division of Allergy and Immunology will be offering a Walk-in Clinic from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. each Monday at the 601 N. 30th St., suite 3M-100 location. No appointment is necessary for new or established patients. Immunotherapy (allergy shots) also will be available on Mondays from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., including the lunch hour. This clinic is under the direction of James Tracy, D.O., assistant professor of medicine. Call 402.280.4403 for more information.

  • Marimba America to Perform on Campus

    • Listen to the musical styling’s of Marimba America on Friday, Sept. 10, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Billy Blues Alumni Grill in the Harper Center. Sponsored by the Office of Multicultural Affairs and Sodexo.

  • Fresh Made Sushi at Wareham Court

    • Wareham Court is now offering fresh made AFC Sushi. Stop by and try some today at the Wareham Court located in the Skutt Student Center,  (open Monday-Friday, 10:30 a.m.–8 p.m.).

  • CGCA Root Beer Float Sale

    • The Creighton Graduate Clinical Anatomists will have a root beer float sale, featuring root beer from Upstream Brewing Co. and ice cream from Ted & Wally’s, on Thursday, Sept. 9, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Hixson-Lied Science Building, Mutual of Omaha Lounge. Cost is $2. Proceeds will benefit local kidney patient Jon Traver.

  • The Catholic Church and Peace Building in the Congo

    • The Kripke Center for the Study of Religion and Society together with the Center for Catholic Thought invites you to a lecture by Bishop Nicolas Djoma, “The Catholic Church and Peace Building in the Democratic Republic of Congo,” on Tuesday, Sept. 21, in the Harper Center, room 3023, at 7 p.m. Bishop Djoma will address the problem of religion and violence in the Democratic Republic of Congo.   • Skutt Student Center Advisory Board - Faculty Representative Needed

    • The Skutt Student Center Advisory Board is currently accepting nominations for a faculty voting non-student representative. Any current Creighton faculty member may be nominated. Please send nominations to Ryan Lahne (ryanlahne@creighton.edu) by Wednesday, Sept. 8, at 5 p.m. General Board Information: The director of the Skutt Student Center is advised on matters of policy and operation by a single Advisory Board composed of students, faculty, alumni and staff. This Advisory Board shall assume the role of advocate for the various users of the Skutt Student Center. The Skutt Student Center Advisory Board shall make recommendations on all policies and procedures and have advisory capacity over any and all areas of operation and activities in the Center. The decisions and actions of the Advisory Board shall be subject to review and control by the vice president for Student Services.

  • CMA at Corporate Cup

    • Come by and visit Carrie Valenta, M.D., of the Creighton Medical Associates – Dundee Clinic, on Sunday, Sept. 19, at the American Lung Association Corporate Cup. CMA will be offering free blood pressure checks, health information and giveaways from 7:30 to 11 a.m. Come by and visit us in the race registration area in the Civic Auditorium on 19th and Chicago streets.

  • A Reading by Writer Dinty Moore

    • The Creative Writing Program of the English Department will present a reading by writer Dinty Moore, author of Toothpick Men, The Accidental Buddhist, Between Panic and Desire and Crafting the Personal Essay. He will read from his work on Tuesday, Sept. 14, at 7 p.m. in the Skutt Student Center, room 105. Admission is free.
