Call for Proposals for 2017 Conference
“Transforming Challenges into Meaningful Opportunities”

Nebraska Women in Higher Education Leadership (NWHEL) conference takes place on Friday, September 22, at Union College, Lincoln, Nebraska. The theme of the 2017 conference is “Transforming Challenges into Meaningful Opportunities.” Proposals for panel discussions, individual speakers, interactive workshops, and posters related to “Hot” Topics (Sensitive topics affecting the classroom environment, work environment, professional development and other issues facing higher education); “Moving the Needle” (Women’s advancement in the workplace, mentoring, job shadowing, negotiation techniques); and “Teaching Ourselves and Learning from Others” (Interpersonal communication, having difficult conversations with students, dealing with difficult people)

Proposals must be received by Friday, July 28 to receive full consideration. Email proposals to NWHEL at with the subject line as “NWHEL 2017 Conference Proposal”.
