Using scripture, music and other creative activities, we will explore what it means to be open, what we are called to be open to and what may be keeping us from being open. The weekend will offer opportunities for fellowship, engaging topics, private prayer, spiritual direction, an opportunity for reconciliation and Mass as well as a lot of great food – all of this in the beauty of God’s creation. The retreat director is Amy Hoover. Hoover is an experienced spiritual and retreat director. She has served in parish ministry as director of adult faith formation. This summer, Hoover is completing her master’s degree in Christian spirituality from Creighton. The weekend begins Friday, Aug. 27, at 7:30 p.m. and concludes before lunch on Sunday, Aug. 29.
